About our Committees:
Policy Committee:
Are you interested in learning all things housing policy? Don’t know where to start? The YIMBY Dems Policy Committee monitors local, state, and federal policies and legislation that impact San Diego’s housing supply, combat climate change, and advance economic inclusion. The Committee dives deep into housing policy issues, ultimately making policy recommendations to the general membership. The Committee meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm to discuss housing issues such as more new homes of all income types are necessary to achieve affordability and desegregation; prevent displacement and homelessness; and create diverse, mixed-income neighborhoods. AdComms Committee
The YIMBY Dems Advocacy and Communications Committee leads the digital communications, mobilization, and education of the club. The AdComms Committee is responsible for creating pro-housing communication strategies using social media platforms and mobilizing general membership around key policy issues. Endorsement Committee
The Yimby Dems Endorsement Committee is responsible for leading the Club’s endorsement of elected candidates.
